About Ericka

Ericka Mapson, is a native of Fort Washington, Maryland, Ericka began her career in the hospitality industry 17 years ago at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore where she graduated with a Bachelor degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management. She earned a Masters degree in Human Resources with certificate in Project Management from Bowie State University in 2015. 

Ericka worked as an event coordinator for various catering and banquet facilities in the Maryland, Virginia, and Washington DC area. She has also worked for the Hilton brand as a Complex Sales Manager handling sales and event management. Ericka's hard work, dedication, passion and love for planning events, has led her to begin From Start To Finish Event Planning in 2010.

What sets Ericka apart is her high energy, endless patience, and her incredible attention to detail. Her goal is to make your unique personality shine through and with her tireless energy, assure, that your dreams become a reality. Ericka is a fearless leader, incredibly reliable and a quick problem solver ready to take on any challenge. She approaches each event with the calculated eye of a director, the organization of a producer, and the diverse skill set of a stage manager.

When not planning events you will often find Ericka traveling to various states and countries, spending time with her family and friends, training in the gym or just relaxing with a good book and an amazing cup of coffee. She loves embarking on new adventures. Her favorite motto is "Live in the moment."
